The Supreme Court oral arguments in Jack Phillips’ case are officially over.
It’s been five years since the Colorado cake artist was sued for declining to design a custom cake for a same-sex wedding. Today, he asked the Court to uphold his religious freedom and artistic expression.
What the Supreme Court decides could have a huge impact on freedom for us all.
We wanted to take a minute to thank you for all of the support you’ve shown Jack and Alliance Defending Freedom the past five years. We are so overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the prayers, the encouragement, and the generous giving. You’ve had Jack’s back (and I’m sure you will continue to do so as we await the decision). That was evident today as we rallied outside the Supreme Court to support #JusticeforJack.
The pictures speak for themselves.
It is always good to reflect on what God has done and is doing. And Jack’s case is no exception. Jack has had to endure death threats and the loss of 40 percent of his income. He’s had to stop designing wedding cakes, something he loves. God has used your prayers and support to help Jack endure through it all and to help ADF provide the legal defense he needed free of charge.
As we await the Supreme Court’s decision in Jack’s case, we must also look ahead.
ADF represents a number of clients like Jack who are seeking the freedom to live and work according to their faith. The challenges to this freedom will not stop, and ADF is dedicated to defending religious freedom for all. Would you consider continuing to partner with us in prayer and in your generous giving to ensure that we are providing the best possible defense for religious freedom?
